New Handbag:)

For most of you women out there a handbag is probably a big part of your everyday outfit. It may be a big ticket item in your wardrobe or it may be a clearence item from Walmart - either way you probably get a lot of use out of your purse. I am one of those women. I always have a purse with me and I am not into just one style or size so I end up with a few different styles in my closet that I rotate from time to time.
For you purse lovers - my I make a suggestion? Check out Mark for the new handbags that they bring to the table - they are affordable, well made, and very stylish! I am including a picture of my newest one which will be available in Magalog 4.
I am not one who likes crazy, over-the-top hardware, and most of these are pretty neutral in color too. Hope you check them out and let me know if you want to order one. My website is www.youravon.com/kjessup

Conair Hi-Styles - 1.5 stars

I got this for the purpose of adding volume to my crown area in my hair. I have very thick hair and it is just getting more and more heavy so my goal was to lighten it up at the crown without have to make an appointment for more layers to be put in or for it to be thinned.

I was hopeful for this product because I have heard from other people who have used the Bump-it (a similar product) that it works for people who have thick hair. I found that it was difficult to place and it doesn't fit the contour of my head. I am the type of person who doesn't give up on something if I have spent money on it, so I am going to try again with the aid of a blow dryer. I intend to heat it up until the plastic can be re-bent to fit my head. Sounds like a lot more work for a product that should be adding convience and saving me time with my hair routine. I think if someone has a head that would fit the shape that this product comes in, the styles that it would work best/easiest for would be updo's. Like I said before though, I am not going to be giving up just yet. I will however say that if you are really in need of volume, use velcro rollers and a good teasing comb. I will not recommend this product to anyone else and I give it 1.5 stars. It is a gimic and failed to satisfy me.

Lemon Sugar 3-1 Body wash, shampoo, and bubble bath - 4.5 stars

First of all, I have to say as soon as I poured this into the hot running water, I was immediatly hit with a craving for the homemade lemon bars that my mom used to make when I was growing up. You know the ones - buttery crust, tart intense lemon filling, and then the powdered sugar layer on top...the ones that always get eaten way too quickly for there to ever be any leftovers...:)

Ok, so now you have an idea of the scent. I used this product as a bubble bath, and then as a body wash as well. It was very bubbly and silky and the scent didn't go away the entire length of the bath. I also noticed that my skin was nicely moisturized afterwards - so much so that I didn't even need to use lotion as I normally would after a soak. Next afternoon, I was sitting in my desk (at my last day of work:) and my arms were still very softened and moisturized.

Overall, I think anyone that likes lemon as a scent would really like this product. It is a very indulgent formula, and would make an Excellent gift!  I don't know how this would be on sensitive skin, so be warned if you are normally irritated by anything with lemon oil in it, you may want to stay away from this product.
I give this a rating of 4.5 stars. It will be something that I will re-purchase, and I will also be considering the body butter for this winter and the body mist for next summer as future purchases.

Breaking a cycle

To introduce this blog and my purpose behind it, I would like to pose a question. How many of you would love to stay at Home with your kids but still be able to contribute to the income of your home? Probably most of us- if we are being honest. That is what I am going to be doing. I have come to grips with the reality that as a mother of two little boys, I want to be the one who gets the awesome priviledge of raising them. This is my dream that I am trying to make a reality.
I am going to be working from home using a well known and well established company. I am now an Avon Representative as well as a Mark Representative. I will be posting reviews of different products that I personally am using so that you may be able to make informed decisions for purchasing yourself. I want to make clear that yes, I am doing this to make a profit, but I want anyone who buys a product from me to be satisfied to the point that they would recommend me as a representative to someone else.

To sum up my thoughts - I would describe myself as nervously excited for this new endevour. I look forward to bringing quality service and products to my customers. Most of all I am thrilled to be breaking the cycle of stressed out Mommy looking for someone to watch her children so that she can leave to make a few dollars. I am thrilled to be a Stay At Home Mom!
